Google AdSense Profits Mixed In with Affiliate Marketing
Are you a webmaster who needs funds to keep your website running? Or is your website the only way for you to earn income? Whichever you are, for as long as you are a webmaster or a web publisher and you need cash, affiliate marketing may work well for you. With affiliate marketing, you may get a lot of cash pouring into your bank account easily. And if your website is rich in great contents and you want to earn more profit, why not get into the Google Adsense program as well? Why Affiliate Marketing? Well, simply because affiliate marketing is the easiest and probably the best way to earn profits online, unless otherwise you are a businessman and would rather sell your own products online than advertise other businessman’s products on your site. But even online retailers can benefit from affiliate marketing programs, because affiliate marketing actually works for merchants as well as it works for the affiliates.
Affiliate Marketing, simply said, is a relationship or agreement made between two websites, with one site being the merchant’s website and the other being the affiliate’s site. In the relationship, the affiliate agrees to let the merchant advertise his products on the affiliate’s site. The merchant, on the other hand, would agree to pay the affiliate in whatever method they have agreed into.
This would generally mean easy income for the affiliate, as he would do nothing but place the retailer’s ad on his site. This would also be very beneficial for the merchant, as getting affiliates to advertise their products would be a lot more affordable than hiring an advertising firm to promote their products.
There are a variety of methods on how the merchant would compensate the affiliate for his services, and for the webmaster, these methods simply translates to the method by which he would earn easy cash. Among the more common methods of compensation are the pay-per-click method, the pay-per-lead method, and the pay-per-sale method. The pay-per-click method is the method most preferred by affiliates, for their site’s visitor would only have to visit the advertiser’s site for them to gain money.
The other two methods, on the other hand, are better preferred by merchants, as they would only have to compensate you if your visitor becomes one of their registrants or if the visitor would actually buy their products. Getting much profit on affiliate marketing programs, however, does not depend so much on the compensation method is it does on the traffic generated by your site. A website that can attract more visitors would generally have the greater chance of profiting in affiliate marketing programs.
What about Google AdSense?Google AdSense is actually some sort of an affiliate marketing program. In Google AdSense, Google act as the intermediary between the affiliates and the merchants. The merchant, or the advertiser, would simply sign up with Google and provide the latter with text ads pertaining to their products. These ads, which is actually a link to the advertiser’s website, would then appear on Google searches as well as on the websites owned by the affiliates, or by those webmasters who have signed up with the Google Adsense program.
While one can find a lot of similarities between Google Adsense and other affiliate marketing programs, you can also see a lot of differences. In Google Adsense, all the webmaster has to do is place a code on his website and Google takes care of the rest. The ads that Google would place on your site would generally be relevant to the content of your site. This would be advantageous both for you and for the advertiser, as the visitors of your site would more or less be actually interested with the products being advertised.
The Google AdSense program compensates the affiliate in a pay-per-click basis. The advertisers would pay Google a certain amount each time their ad on your site is clicked and Google would then forward this amount to you through checks, although only after Google have deducted their share of the amount. Google AdSense checks are usually delivered monthly. Also, the Google AdSense program provides webmasters with a tracking tool that allows you to monitor the earnings you actually get from a certain ad. So, where do all of these lead us to?
Where else but to profits, profits and even more profits! Affiliate marketing programs and the Google AdSense program simply work, whether you are the merchant or the affiliate. For the merchant’s side, a lot of money can be saved if advertising effort is concentrated on affiliate marketing rather than on dealing with advertising firms. For the webmaster, you can easily gain a lot of profits just by doing what you do best, and that is by creating websites. And if you combine all your profits from both the Google Adsense program and other affiliate marketing programs, it would surely convert to a large amount of cash.

Internet Marketing and Advertising Made Easy
Internet marketing, advertising and e-commerce is like setting up your shop in the World Wide Web and doing business with about eleven hundred million prospective customers. Online marketing depends on effective advertising that involves innovative thinking, out of the box strategies and zero deviation execution. Online advertising strategy relies on new age advertising that is light years ahead of the traditional advertising modes.
Traditional Advertising, which one can find in conventional media like newspapers, radio and television, is simple in its way of dealing with the advertiser and the audience. The advertiser is to pay astronomical amounts for a few column centimeters of print area or a few seconds of air time. The audience, in turn, has to pay their price by accepting irritating commercial breaks in his favorite soap opera or loss of information due to the loss of newsprint area.
Traditional Marketing relies on shotgun approach - one message for all. So, the golf enthusiast is bombarded with Beethoven details, and a millionaire gets repeatedly told about secured credit cards with bad credit history. The result – you waste your precious advertising money, and the consumer gets irritated as she gets irrelevant offers. Now, move over to the World Wide Web.
The net is the world’s largest storehouse of information, and if you can leverage the net for getting more traffic there is no stopping you, or your business. However, you cannot expect to get better business by throwing flash ads and pop-ups in the face of the visitor as it is like being pestered by postcard sellers when you go to visit a beautiful exotic sea beach.
Internet Marketing, advertising and sales strategies are different from this traditional mode of advertising as it hardly presents the advertisements in an obtrusive or irritating way. If you are an entrepreneur and thinking about increasing business you have to respect the visitor’s right to surf for information without nagging him.
To increase traffic to your site, stick to some proven methods like search engine optimization, pay per click, contextual advertising and paid inclusion. You can also set up a community that will help sell your products.
Search Engine Optimization is a well known strategy of Internet marketing and advertising. Search engines like Yahoo, Google, AltaVista, HotBot and Mamma work in similar ways. When you submit your web site to their scrutiny, they send little programs called spiders to your site. These clever spiders can collect information about the content in your site.
Search engines have their own algorithm to process the data collected by these spiders and list your site in the result page if it is found to be relevant. The user clicks on the hyperlink that leads to your site, and you pay for every such click. You can also put an ad on the homepage of a search engine. You see, this way you do not need to spend too much for advertising, and still get the maximum reach to prospective buyers.
If your site is truly relevant to the users and has good and craftily written articles in it, be sure to find it at the top of the chart within months, and then you can reap the fruit of Internet marketing and advertising.

How and Why to Use FeedBurner
One of the basic steps in setting up a blog that makes the most of the medium is getting an account with www.Feedburner.com. No matter what blogging platform you use to write your blog, there are good reasons why you should use Feedburner. Below are some reasons why, followed by some steps on how to use the service.
What is Feedburner?
The simplest answer to this question is that Feedburner republishes your RSS blog's RSS feed (or any RSS feed for that matter) to make it much friendlier, more powerful and more useful.
What am I going to get out of this?
- Find out how many people are subscribed to your RSS feed. These are the folks who are going to keep coming back to your content, more than any other group of visitors to your site. It's good to know how many of them there are and how that number has changed over time.
- Make it easier than ever for readers to subscribe to your feed. By email, MyYahoo, Bloglines, Newsgator and more are all options with at most two clicks of a lambs tail when you use Feedburner. And it's so much more friendly than a Movable Type or Wordpress "subscribe to this blog's feed" link with a whole bunch of XML behind it. Here - go click on my feed and see how pretty it is.
- You are going to set up Feedburner to automatically ping Technorati and everybody else who ought to know when you've posted something new on your blog so that it will show up in search engines.
- There are lots of extra features that are easy to select as add-ons to your feed. For example, people who subscribe to my feed see links after every item to email that post to some one, save it in del.icio.us, see how many comments on are on that post and make a comment themselves. You can also display inbound links to that item and lots more.
There are lots of other reasons you might want to use Feedburner.com, but those are my big ones and aren't they enough? Make it easy for people to subscribe to your blog's feed, for you to know how many people have subscribed, for search engines to know when you have something new for them to index and for your readers to do extra things they like to do with each item in your feed. I think these reasons alone make Feedburner.com an essential part of blogging.
How do I do it?
Ok, you're convinced, that's good. Grab your blog's native feed URL by copying the link to subscribe (if you write a blogger.com blog, it's myblogissilly.blogspot.com/atom.xml except of course your blog isn't silly).
Now paste that puppy into the front page of Feedburner. Setting up an account there is easy and it is free. After you tell the service just a wink about yourself (not very hard, this part) then you can bop around and optimize the features. My advice is to optimize in every way available that's free. And if you have some funds available, take these people up on their premium services because they are an institution of great public good and deserve it.
Make sure you turn on the Pingshot service under the Publicize tab. And unless you have a blog that only people interested in new web technology are reading (like this one, I believe) you should make sure to turn on the Email subscription option.
You will get a snippet of code for the email subscription option. That is to be copied and pasted into a good place on the sidebar of your blog's template. Then you can go to the Chicklet Chooser page and get the code for your RSS subscription option's link. I recommend selecting the standard icon, when readers click through it they will see all the other options on the pretty RSS feed page. If you want to see how this looks, you can go and click on my orange icon in my right hand sidebar here.
Grab that code for what Feedburner calls your chicklet (your new "subscribe" button) and paste that into your blog's sidebar template.
We're almost there, just a few more steps. If your blog software already had a link to your RSS feed in your sidebar, delete it. You don't want some people subscribing to the naked feed and some to the shiny new Feedburner.com feed or else you'll lose out on a lot of what you gain from the service.
Next, this is the hardest part. Go into your blog's template, go to the header section, and replace the code for the blog's native feed or feeds with your new Feedburner.com feed. This step may be a real challenge is you use a system that doesn't let you get to your template code easily. You can update it easily in the Blogspot blogs as you only have to go to the settings to change it.
Finally, I highly recommend making a post to your blog telling your readers that they can now subscribe to your blog's feed using your fancy new feed URL. This will spur some new subscriptions and let subscribers to the old feed know that they need to get with the program - so you can count them and they can see your souped up feed in their feed readers.
You can run as many feeds as you want in feedburner. You can even have more then 1 feeds for the same Blog.
