Rename your Recycle bin



1. Open Run box from Start menu or use shortcut " windows key + r "
2. Type " regedit " and press enter.
3. Then a window named " Registry Editor " opens.
4. Go to My computerHKEY-CURRENT_USERSoftware in the left hand side

a) Now if you have installed " Google Desktop " follow the following instructions:
  • Go to GoogleGoogle DesktopLocalized in the left hand side
  • Go to " Recycle Bin " in the right hand side and right click on it and choose the option" Modify "
In the pop up window, change the value data to your desired name and that will bethe new name of the Recycle Bin.
b) If you haven't installed Google Desktop, then follow the following steps:
  • Go to MicrosoftWindowsShellNoRoamMUICache in the left hand side after going toMy computerHKEY-CURRENT_USERSoftware
  • Go to the key " @c:windowssystem32shell32.dll,-8964 " in the right side and hasa name ' recycle bin ' right click on it and choose the option ' Modify '.
  • In the pop up window, change the value data to your desired name and that will bethe new name of the Recycle Bin.
6. Refresh the desktop and you will see the new name of the Recycle Bin.

Shutdown PC with Timer



You can make your PC shutdown at a time u wish to shutdown automatically.

Here is the trick!!!

*************** METHOD # 1 ***************

Right click on your desktop and choose "New => shortcuts".

In the box that says "Type the location of the shortcut",

type in "shutdown -s -t 3600" without the quotation marks and click next. Note: 3600 are the amount ofseconds before your computer shuts down. So , 60secs*60mins=3600secs.

Make up a name for the shortcut and you're done.

You can change the icon by right clicking=>properities=>change icon=>browse

TO ABORT: To make an abort key to stop the shutdown timer just create another shortcut and makethe "location of the shortcut" to " shutdown -a" without the quotes.

*************** METHOD # 2 ***************
{EASIER THAN THE PREVIOUS ONE}

Here is another trick to shutdown at a specific time, for example you wish to shutdown at 11:35am.

Type this in start=>Run
Type Code: at 11:35 shutdown -s
TO ABORT: Code:shutdown -a
